Texas barbecue for the best day of your life.

Hand-sliced meats, scratch-made sides, and one less thing to worry about on the day everything else needs you.

The food, handled — so you can enjoy the day.

Some of life’s best moments happen around a table, and your wedding day should be no different. From rehearsal dinners and welcome parties to the big celebration, Soulman’s brings generous portions, Texas Bar-B-Que, and more than fifty years of experience to the table. Our catering team takes care of the details from setup through service, so you can spend less time thinking about the food and more time celebrating with the people you love.

Three packages, built around the wedding you're planning.

Every wedding menu is built with you, but most couples start from one of three packages:

The Homestead

A classic Texas barbecue buffet: a choice of smoked meats and homestyle sides, bread, sauce, and the trimmings, with upgraded place settings on every table. The right pick when you want a wonderful meal and an easy timeline.

The Open Range

Everything in The Homestead, with appetizers to open the night and a wider choice of meats and signature sides. For the wedding that wants a real cocktail hour before dinner lands.

The Top Rail

Our premium package, built around a premium smoked option — beef tenderloin, prime rib, or pork shanks — and finished with appetizers, a fruit and cheese display, and signature sides. For the couple who wants the meal to be one of the things their guests still talk about the next day.

Buffet service comes with every package, and our team works the timeline with you and your planner so the food lands exactly when the day calls for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you cater weddings?

We do, and we have since 1974. Soulman’s caters wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and welcome parties across the Dallas–Fort Worth metro and North and East Texas, with full service — setup, serving, and cleanup — available for weddings of seventy-five guests and up.

How many guests do you need for a wedding?

Full-service wedding catering starts at seventy-five guests. For smaller wedding-related events like a rehearsal dinner or a day-after brunch, we can handle pickup from ten people and delivery from twenty-five.

How long does the buffet run?

We plan the service window with you and your planner rather than holding you to a fixed clock. Our team works your timeline so the food comes out when the day calls for it.

Can you feed guests with gluten or dairy allergies?

Yes — let us know when you book and we’ll build the menu with those guests in mind. All of our smoked meats and many of our sides are made without gluten-containing ingredients (the full list is in our Catering FAQ →), while breads, baked mac n’ cheese, and cream corn aren’t gluten- or dairy-free. Our kitchens aren’t allergen-free, so we can’t guarantee against cross-contact, but with notice we can plan the spread around your guest list.

Do you provide plates, flatware, and napkins?

Yes. Every wedding package includes upgraded place settings on each table — plates, flatware, and napkins — so you’re not sourcing them separately.

Do you do rehearsal dinners?

We do. Our Rockwall I-30 location has a rustic banquet room that seats up to sixty, or we’ll bring the food to your venue if it allows outside catering.

How far in advance should we book our wedding catering?

As early as you can. There’s no firm booking window, but wedding season weekends book up first, and booking early gives you the widest choice of meats, sides, and service options.
