From the office lunch to the family reunion, we bring the barbecue, set it up right, and leave you free to enjoy the people you invited.
Families, businesses, churches, and schools across North and East Texas have trusted Soulman’s with their gatherings for over fifty years. Some of those are standing Friday office lunches; others are the once-in-a-lifetime days a family plans for a year. We handle the food and the setup either way, so you can be present for the part that actually matters: the people around the table.
Most of it comes down to one question: do you want to pick from a set menu, or would you rather we build something around your event? We do both, and the right path depends on the size and shape of what you’re planning.
Ready-built packages for groups of ten and up. Choose your meats and your sides, and we’ll have everything ready for pickup or delivery. It’s the quickest way to feed a crowd when the plan is straightforward.
Bigger events, more people, or a setup that needs more than a set menu? Our catering team builds the food and the service around what you’re hosting, with full service available for events of seventy-five and up — setup, serving, and cleanup included.
We cater a little of everything across North and East Texas:
That’s not the whole list. We’ve handled birthday parties, retirement dinners, ribbon-cuttings, and plenty in between. If you don’t see your event here, ask us anyway — odds are we’ve done it.
A few ways to feed the table.
The flagship. Two smoked meats, three sides, Texas toast or buns, barbecue sauce, a relish tray, tea and ice, plus plates, utensils, napkins, and cups. Add a third meat if you’d like one. Available for pickup (ten-person minimum), delivery (twenty-five), or full service (seventy-five).
The faster version, built for office lunches and quicker gatherings. Two sandwich-portion meats, two sides, round buns, barbecue sauce, a relish tray, tea and ice, and the full setup of plates, utensils, napkins, and cups. Same minimums as the Bar-B-Que Party Pack.
A Texas-sized baked potato with two boneless meats, butter, cheese, and sour cream, served with a relish tray, tea and ice, and all the disposables. Hearty, a little different, and a favorite for groups who want something other than the standard plate-and-side spread.
Hand-breaded fish, fried on site at your event, served with two sides, hushpuppies, and tartar sauce. Full service only, seventy-five-person minimum. A go-to for schools, churches, and large gatherings looking for something a little different from the smoke.
Meats: Brisket, sausage, hot links, pulled pork, turkey, ham, chicken, ribs
Sides: Potato salad, coleslaw, pinto beans, green beans, baked mac n’ cheese, spicy potatoes, Texas-style cream corn, ranch house beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried cabbage
Sweets (sold whole, by the unit): Homemade pecan pie (serves 6–8), Memer’s buttermilk pie (serves 6–8), banana pudding (serves 20–25)
We meet your event where it is. Three ways we get the food to you:
It depends on how you want the food delivered. Pickup catering starts at ten people, delivery at twenty-five, and full service — where our team sets up, serves, and cleans up — starts at seventy-five. Feeding fewer than ten? The Soulman’s app handles smaller orders straight from the menu.
We cater across the Dallas–Fort Worth metro and throughout North and East Texas, from our locations in Allen, Cedar Hill, Forney, Fort Worth, Garland, Greenville, Gun Barrel City, Hurst, Lancaster, Lewisville, Mabank, Mansfield, Mesquite, North Richland Hills, Quinlan, Red Oak, Rockwall, Royse City, Sulphur Springs, Terrell, and Van. If your event is near one of our stores, we can most likely get to you.
Yes — tell our catering team when you book and we’ll walk you through what works for your group. While we can’t guarantee our food is completely gluten-free due to the potential for cross-contamination, many of our menu items are made without gluten-containing ingredients, including all of our smoked meats, pinto beans, Ranch House beans, green beans, potato salad, coleslaw, fried cabbage, and mashed potatoes where available. One note: our barbecue sauce contains caramel coloring, which can affect some folks with gluten sensitivities. Texas toast, buns, baked mac n’ cheese, and cream corn aren’t gluten- or dairy-free. The more notice you give us, the better we can build the spread around your guests.
Every package comes with the food plus the setup around it: barbecue sauce, a relish tray, tea and ice, and disposables — plates, utensils, napkins, and cups. Full-service events also include our team handling the serving and the cleanup.
The sooner the better, especially around graduation season, the holidays, and wedding weekends, when dates fill up first. Online catering orders need at least 24 hours’ notice — if you’re up against it, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do. Even a rough heads-up before you’ve locked in your details helps our catering team hold the date.
All three, depending on your event. Pickup is available for any size order from any location, delivery starts at twenty-five people, and full service starts at seventy-five with our team handling setup, serving, and cleanup.
